Future Boyup Brook

Located on the iconic Blackwood River, the community of Boyup Brook is one of the oldest established towns in the South-West region. |

Future Boyup Brook, a local initiative, was created in 2005 to harness opportunities to build a vibrant and resilient community.
Future Boyup Brook has been established under the umbrella of Western Australian Community Foundation, which serves as Trustee for a number of funds across the state. The purpose of Western Australian Community Foundation is to give communities control over their own destiny through the growth and distribution of endowed funds and the development of community leadership capacity. The Foundation is the perfect vehicle for people to witness the social return on investment in their local community, and Boyup Brook has harnessed that potential.
All donations and gifts made to Future Boyup Brook go towards building an endowed fund for the community. As the base grows, so does the return on investment. Grants are made from the interest and dividends, so the original capital investment remains and grows with additional donations and gifts, enabling long-term financial security- or the ‘future proofing’ – of the Boyup Brook community.
Local Advisory Committee A local advisory committee has been established, enabling grassroots input that ensures community needs are met today, and into the future. Local volunteers will work closely with Western Australian Community Foundation to grow and build the fund to shape the future of Boyup Brook. Advisory committee members are:
